New patients
Yes — we are accepting new patients.
Here is exactly what happens at a first visit, what to bring, and what it costs. No surprises at the front desk.
Your first visit, step by step
Paperwork — 10 minutes
Health history, medications and insurance details. Arriving 10 minutes early covers it comfortably.
X-rays and photos
Digital X-rays, so we can see between and beneath teeth. Far less radiation than old film.
Exam with Dr. Ali
Every tooth, your existing dental work, your bite, your gums, and an oral cancer screening.
Cleaning
Usually the same day. If your gums need deeper treatment we will explain why and schedule it separately.
The plan and the number
If anything needs treatment you will get a written plan with the cost and your estimated insurance coverage before you leave.
What to bring
- Photo ID
- Dental insurance card (and medical card if you have one)
- A list of medications and dosages
- Any previous X-rays, if a former dentist can send them
- For a child: their guardian, and their Medicaid or plan card
How long to allow
About 60–90 minutes for a full new-patient visit with X-rays, exam and cleaning.
Placeholder. Timings and the first-visit sequence follow standard general-practice workflow and the practice's existing site. Dr. Ali should confirm before launch.
Questions new patients actually ask
I have not been to a dentist in years. Will you judge me?
No. This is one of the most common things people tell us on the phone. We look at where you are today and we build a plan from there — often in stages, so it is affordable.
I am anxious about the dentist.
Tell us when you book and tell us again when you sit down. We explain before we do, we go slower, and we stop when you need us to. Anxiety is a normal reason to have avoided care, not something to apologise for.
Can I be seen the same week?
Often, yes — and if you are in pain, usually the same day. Call (612) 601-8993 and ask what is open.
Do you see children?
Yes, from the first tooth. We also accept children's Medicaid.
What if I do not have insurance?
Tell us up front. We will quote the exam and X-ray before you come in and can spread larger treatment over time with CareCredit.
Do I need to fill in forms before I arrive?
Not for this visit — bring the items listed above and we will do the paperwork at the desk. Secure online intake forms are coming to this site.
